My name is Debbie Cooper I am the owner and founder of Vancouver Island Soap Works, a handcrafted small batch Olive Oil Soap company. I was born and raised on beautiful Vancouver Island. I have spent the last 20 years raising my two children on an organic farm in rural Metchosin, a small farming community 40 minutes outside of Victoria BC.

I would best describe myself as a nature girl, I love the outdoors. Roaming through BC's lush forests, the smell of the fresh ocean air, the sound of a babbling creek or the mist of a natural waterfall is what makes me tick. I have a deep love for scent from the natural outdoors. From florals to moss, evergreens, freshly cut grass, salty seaweed, vine ripened blackberries, and drying hay on a summer day is my heaven.

Every aspect of my life has prepared me for my journey into the world of soap. I have always been an avid gardener and I have a passion for cooking and creating my own recipes. These two skills have assisted me in all of my soap creations. I love to take my farming practices and combined them with my love of creating, to produce natural healing soap with amazing scents from the great outdoors.
