Canadian Food Innovation Network: Funding and More

Updated: May 15

The CFIN launched in 2021 with the purpose to stimulate innovation in the Canadian food sector.

One of their functions is to award funding for a range of project types and company sizes.

The CFIN has a range of offerings and their Innovation Booster program lowers the barriers for small companies to access funding. The application guide lists examples of projects that could be considered, and of particular note this includes working with a research partner to test nutrition and shelf life of a new ingredient, product or package.

You are welcome to ask your Venturepark Labs contact for an introduction to a CFIN Regional Director or reach out to them directly to find out if this could work for you.

Also, see the attached overview that CFIN has shared with Venturepark Labs.
