"Jess has been involved in her local community for over eight years, helping organizations in the non-profit sector benefit by increasing their brand profile through community engagement and connection. Before joining Venturepark Labs, Jess focused her skills on digital media, marketing, non-profit fundraising, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Media Studies, graduating with Distinction from the University of Calgary.

Inspired by her city and the entrepreneurs within it, she gained experience working for early-stage, grassroots organizations and publications, such as Beatroute Magazine, Femme Wave Music & Arts Festival, and CJSW 90.9 FM. Outside of the office, she hosts a nationally recognized community radio program and uses her platform to spotlight local creators and innovators".
